Makeup Wars ~ My Go To Summer Eye Looks

I love summer makeup! Not because I love bronzers, and I love corals, well…maybe I do love them, but the main reason I absolutely love summer makeup is that I LOVE COLOUR! I know you can rock colourful eye looks year round but in reality there are a lot of colours, and colour combinations, that just don’t seem fitting in cooler months. Since this post is all about go to/favourite summer eye looks I thought I would revisit some of my favourite looks I’ve featured on Perilously Pale. I have recreated these looks time and time again. If you don’t have the same products I’ve featured here you can of course try some substitutions.

The first section features eye looks using lots of fun, bright colours. Maybe a 37 year old woman shouldn’t wear this kind of look, but screw it. I love it, and I think it IS possible for colourful eye makeup applications to looks polished and sophisticated. Another favourite eye look for me is neutrals with a twist. Whether it be the addition of a beautiful purple shadow into a warm bronzed eye look, a traditional neutral eye with a super shimmery nude on the lid, or a basic taupe eye with a kick of colourful vibrant blue liner, there are so many ways to put a little spin on your everyday eye look to make it a little more fun for summer or anytime of year. There are a few other looks I love and recreate often but I didn’t want to tempt you with products you would have no chance of getting your hands on anymore. Probably my most favourite, and one I have wore more times than I can count, is the look I do using the the Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill Intense Eyeshadows in 20 Obsidian Black, 21 Obsidian Grey, 22 Ecailles, 23 Madra Perla from last summer.
